Luderitz, Namibia
It was a low key day. We wandered around the town of Luderitz, population 15,000, enjoying the German architecture. Surprised by how few people and vehicles we saw.
Started at the Dutch church, Felsenkirche. Church on the Rock. Beautiful stained glass windows. The windows were a gift from Kaiser Wilhelm II and all the materials were brought in from Germany.
Next a small but interesting museum. They had a pangolin exhibit!
Lunch at the Portuguese Fishermans. Shrimp pattie, Kingclick (fish), and Don Pedro (amarula based drink) were outstanding. Mike introduced us to two young African women. A strange pair.
Elizabeth's accident. Deeply cut her leg on pipe sticking up from sidewalk.
Beer garden celebration of German culture this evening. Monica had us prepared.
