Bullet train from Xian to Beijing. Tickets "attached " to passport. When we first arrived our tickets were not appearing when our passports were scanned. After talking with many train officials, Jenny solved the problem. We would have been stuck in Xian without her. A little complicated to manage but Jenny gave us great directions. What a pleasant way to travel.
Henry met us in Beijing and whisked us off to lunch and then the Summer Palace. We were lucky it was late in the day- not too crowded. There were times it was only our group in a building. Henry said he had never seen it like this before.
Jenny explains what to do and where to go.
Loved the bullet train, Such a comfortable way to travel.

The shopping street is closed to traffic.
Lots of people, street art and performers.
Probably the most amazing department store I have ever visited.
I think it passed Japan's which had been very impressive,
